The semiconductor industry is under pressure due to increasing demand, supply problems and a shortage of skilled workers. AP&S International GmbH, a manufacturer of special machines for microchip production, optimized its production processes with the help of tepcon instructor. The challenge was to create work instructions as digital, structured instructions. The integration of tablet PCs and QR codes enabled mobile and efficient access to relevant documents. This resulted in a reduction of construction time by over 50 percent, a doubling of output and quality improvements. The tepcon instructor also promoted transparency and efficiency, facilitated the induction of foreign employees and enabled a quality matrix.

Through the use of various X-Reality solutions, the Learning Factory 4.0 offers a contemporary learning experience and makes it possible to experience interdependencies thatcanonly be conveyed in theory using classic training methods .

Our customer GFH GmbH was the crowd puller at the Grindtec trade fair 2022 in Augsburg. Augmented reality was used to illustrate the high-tech products in an easily understandable way. By using tepcon's augmented presenter solution, the complete inner workings of the laser micromachining system, including animations, were virtualized and projected into the interior of the system housing using Microsoft HoloLens 2 AR glasses.
From the outside, visitors initially saw no difference to a normal GFH plant. But by putting on the AR glasses and diving into the virtual inner life of the machine, a trade fair experience with a wow effect was created.

ystral is an owner-managed company in the field of mechanical and plant engineering. The focus is on the conceptual design and construction of individualized/special machinery and equipment.
The challenge was to make simple instructions available in digital form, both for customers and employees, worldwide, at any time. Until now, company manuals were only available in digital form to a limited extent. Customers also did not have access to them at all times. Since ystral delivers machines worldwide, different time differences have to be taken into account when providing customer support. Timely, direct support is the challenging goal here. For these reasons, ystral opted for the "augmented instructor" solution.

AP&S wet process plants fall into the area of special machine construction. They are high-tech, complex machines with, as a rule, a large number of individual, customer-specific product adaptations. As capital goods, these are usually accompanied by lengthy decision-making processes in procurement. This makes it all the more important to have an innovative sales approach that not only convinces the customer but also offers him added value and, above all, makes his investment decision easier. A smooth product development process that optimally supports the dialog between the customer and the plant supplier and quickly reconciles the customer's requirements with the design proposals without lengthy revision phases is also crucial to success.
